Barrera will give a demonstration for the gallery’s monthly Lunch and Learn session on May 14.

Barrera is much loved as the instructor for Strokes with a Sip, an ongoing class at the gallery. Students bring their own drinks and follow his lead creating paintings to take home, but he says that painting is “not really a skill that can be learned…You can be taught to perfect your style but painting and creativity have to be in you.” If Barrera’s Strokes with a Sip is any indication, patrons of the Spotlight exhibit and the Lunch and Learn are in for a very enjoyable time!
