Allen Historical Conference “Driving Cattle Up the Trail” Friday Night Only Oct 20\, 2017. \nSponsored by the Lavaca County Historical Commission& the Dickson-Allen Foundation. \nFriday Night Brochure\n\n\n\n\nFriday evening\, October 20\, 2017\, 5:45pm – 9:00 pm at the Hallet Oak Gallery\, Historic Kahn & Stanzel Bldg.\,  Doug Kubijeck has arranged for Dr. Dennis Riedesel to discuss and demonstrate cowboys and gambling in saloons. His presentation is entitled: “Saloon of Slim Chance-Historical Scams and Cons Presented as Magical Illusions” to be held at the Hallett Oak Gallery on Friday\, October 20\, doors open at 6:00pm with a $5.00 admission fee and limited seating allowed to the first one hundred at the door.
