DESCRIPTION:SPOTLIGHT ON THE ARTS featuring Kathleen Beebe Durst\, Contemporary Artist  free reception: March 11\, 2017  2:00 PM – 4:00 PM Live Music  by Mike Stroup Trio\nThe Spotlight on the Arts at the Hallet Oak Gallery for March will be featuring the bold and striking contemporary artist\, Kathleen Beebe Durst. Working in a variety of media\, she currently draws on her impressions of nature to create mixed-media collages. Durst’s opening reception will be Saturday\, March 11\, 2017\, 2:00 till 4:00 PM at the Hallet Oak Gallery\, 115 N. Main St.\, Hallettsville\, TX. All are welcome to attend the opening and meet Kathleen Beebe Durst in person. Reception will feature Mike Stroup Trio performing live music.In her twenty-five years as an arts educator with her Fine Arts Degree from Southwest Texas University and Visual Arts Studies from University of Texas at Austin\, her art has been described as fun and imaginative. Her collage and subjects delight parents\, teachers\, all the way from the South Central Texas community to as far north to Illinois where she graduated from an all-girls Dominican High School. All her works are original design and copyrighted. Durst resides in Fayette County.\nDurst’s exhibit will remain on display through March 31st. All Spotlight exhibits are free and open to the public.
