DESCRIPTION:Hallet Oak Gallery presents the \n2nd Annual \nChristkindlmarkt\, \nDowntown Hallettsville \nin conjuntion with Festival of Lights \nFREE \nLIVE CONCERTS \nEVERY SATURDAY \nNovember 26\, \nThrough \nDecember 17 \nLocated in the Historic Kahn & Stanzel Bldg: \nHallet Oak Gallery \n115 N. Main Street \nHallettsville\, TX 77964 \n1 PM to 5 PM Doors open at 9:00 AM. \nSpecial Performing Guests: \nThe TubaMeisters will be performing on December  3rd. \nChristkindlmarkt at the Hallet Oak Gallery \nIn the weeks before Christmas\, many cities throughout Germany offer an open-air market\, Christkindlmarkt. Originally markets to buy winter necessities\, these markets have changed over time to Christmas Markets and are a major part of the German Christmas tradition. Vendors sell Christmas goods such as tree ornaments\, wreaths & candles and Christmas baked goods\, candies\, and other comestibles. Warm drinks are part of the tradition. Larry Charles\, local watercolor painter will be on site\, among other artists. \n  \nDr. Betty Edwards\, owner of the Kahn & Stanzel Building\, is sponsoring  “Christkindlmarkt” for Festival of Lights starting on November 26th through December 17th at the Hallet Oak Gallery. Tables are available for vendors to sell cookies\, noodles\, strudel or other items with international flair or local charm. Enhancing the Christmas spirit will be live concerts featuring traditional German and Czech music. Special performing guests are: Das 1st Lustig on November 26; The TubaMeisters on December 3; Traditional local music on December 10 and December 17. All live Christkindlmarkt music performances begins at 1 to 5 pm\, doors open at 9:00 AM. \n  \nJoin Dr. Edwards and friends at the Gallery November 26\, and every Saturday through December 17 for this charming event. DESCRIPTION:VIC’s 1st & Last Saturday Open Mic at the HOG!  \nFeaturing Loud Rhythm\, Blues\, and Classic Rock \nSaturday\, Dec. 3rd\, Dec. 31st\n \n7 PM to 9 PM \nPerforming will be Vic Dyer and Friends \nHallet Oak Gallery welcome’s the first fundraising event ever! Performing will be Vic Dyer and Friends. Vic’s Saturday Open Mic at the HOG on December 3rd and December 31st. Vic Dyer is a local Rhythm/Blues\, Classic Rock Guitar electric guitar instructor and performer. Vic’s Saturday Open Mic at the HOG\, will be open Saturday’s from 7 – 9 PM. Doors open at 6:00 PM. Tickets are $10\, $8 seniors. BYOB. Light snacks provided. Bring a guitar for half-price discount. All proceeds benefit the Hallet Oak Foundation\, a 501 ( c ) (3) non-profit organization DBA Hallet Oak Gallery and Friends of Hallettsville Downtown Revitalization. This event promises to be an evening of learning something new and listening to the blues. The electric guitars will be loud.
