DESCRIPTION:Hallet Photo Club \nNext Meeting is 2nd Thursday \nSeptember 8th\, 7 PM to 9 PM \nDemo by Tim Sadler on Adobe Photoshop Lightroom – Free \n The second Hallet Photo Club meeting on August 11th was led by Tim Sadler. \nAttendees were Helen Sadler\, Mieko Mahi\, Judy Evans\, James Evens\, Avery Jernigan\, Farrah Jernigan\, and Kelly Jernigan. \nAfter sharing recently taken photographs from the attendees\, the group discussed best places to travel for photography. Tim Sadler shared his techniques for night sky. Discussions were made to visit the Lost Maples in October. \nThe group agreed to create a photo book titled “Hallettsville” for promoting \nthe restaurants and many fun activities in Hallettsville— photographing local business’s\, schools\, and Churches in the area.  The photo book would be donated to the local hotels for their lobby use. The meetings will continue every second Thursday of the month\, open to the public\, held at the Hallet Oak Gallery\, 115 N. Main Street\, Hallettsville\, TX 77964. For more information call 361-217-7030. \nThe next meeting\, September 8th\, from 7 PM to 9 PM at Hallet Oak Gallery.  Tim Sadler will give a demonstration on Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. DESCRIPTION:Hallet Oak Gallery Lunch and Learn \nSafety in Social Media presented by Farrah Renee Jernigan \nSaturday\, September 10\, 2016\, 11: 30 AM -1:00 PM \nFarrah Renee Jernigan\, an award-winning art photographer and technology ambassador will share her techniques and inspiration at Hallet Oak Gallery’s monthly Lunch & Learn series Saturday\, September 10\, from 12-1:00 PM. The mathematician will offer tips on becoming familiar with common social media sites and vocabulary and on protecting yourself and your loved ones from scammers\, phishers\, and the criminal community. Farrah also will share how she connects photography\, family\, and art to her background in math. “Photography lets me say what I feel in a very relatable way. I also like to think that God is a Mathematician because you can see the lines\, curves\, and fractals that He placed everywhere\,” says Farrah. As Euclid said\, “The laws of nature are but the mathematical thoughts of God.” This lunch and learn will prove to be inspirational\, enlightening\, and refreshing. \nDoors open at 11:30 AM. Preregister for the Lunch and Learn by September 8th for $15 to receive a free box lunch. Walk-ins are welcome for $20 and bring own lunch. \nFollowing the lunch\, Farrah Jernigan will be the featured artist for the September Spotlight on the Arts at the Gallery.
