DESCRIPTION:  \nChris Carroll\nMUSIC NIGHT AT THE HOG \nJD Wellfed and Guests: Adam Carroll and Chris Carroll \nAppearing at the Hallet Oak Gallery on June 13 will be husband and wife duo Adam and Chris Carroll. Texas songwriter born and raised\, Adam has seven Indie CDs and is known as “one of the hippest songwriters on the Texas music landscape.” He is often compared to Townes Van Zandt\, Todd Snider\, John Prine and Bob Dylan for his command of the English language and his sense of melody. Chris grew up on the Canadian shores of Lake Ontario and has been singing and recording since childhood. She has two albums\, Before and After and Trouble and Time to her credit. The Carroll’s are guests of JD Wellfed of Sweet Home for the ongoing Music Night at the Hog. The Gallery hosts Wellfed on the second Monday of every month from 7:00 till 9:00 PM. Admission is $10\, $8 Seniors. DESCRIPTION:  \nJUNETEENTH EVENING ARTIST RECEPTION \nMoses Adams\, Jr.\, Master Painter: Retrospect of Rural Art \nThe Hallet Oak Gallery is hosting an evening reception and celebration for Moses Adams\, Jr.\, master painter\, who will be presenting the Retrospect of Rural Art on June 18\, 2016\, from 7:00 PM till 9 PM. Born in Halletsville\, Adams is a former art teacher and an award winning artist. After serving in the U.S. Army from 1966-1968\, Adams worked his way through Texas Southern University. He taught in the Houston School district for 26 years and retired in 2011. He now devotes his time to his personal retrospect of rural art\, which will be on exhibit at the gallery.
