Moses Adams, Jr., Master Painter: Retrospect of Rural Art

The Hallet Oak Gallery is hosting an evening reception and celebration for Moses Adams, Jr., master painter, who will be presenting the Retrospect of Rural Art on June 18, 2016, from 7:00 PM till 9 PM. Born in Halletsville, Adams is a former art teacher and an award winning artist. After serving in the U.S. Army from 1966-1968, Adams worked his way through Texas Southern University. He taught in the Houston School district for 26 years and retired in 2011. He now devotes his time to his personal retrospect of rural art, which will be on exhibit at the gallery. The Gallery invites everyone to join in celebrating Black History and honoring this Hallettsville native.
