About the Artists:
Satori Davis is a 2023 graduate with honors at Sam Houston State University and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science – Pre-Veterinary Medicine. Davis is continuing to be recognized for her realism art, as she won numerous awards at Hallettsville High School (2014 -2018). Her passion is to draw animals and wildlife, she continues to delight viewers with her keen eye for composition and “effortless-appearing, yet incredible detail” in her illustrations. Her public artwork of an American Flag can be seen downtown Hallettsville at Glen’s Packing.
Gene Grant is a fourth generation South Central Texan whose great-grandfather helped construct the Lavaca County Courthouse. Gene enjoys and challenges himself in capturing facial features, especially the eyes. He is available for commissioned works and is a master at pencil, pastels, charcoal, and oil techniques. Grant continuously receives recognition and accolades for his high caliber portraiture and magnificent scenic imagery.
Tommie Ruth Adams, residing in San Antonio, is gospel singer and Founder of Project Home. Her husband is the late Albert Lemons. She held the first Martin Lutheran King Parade, Cinco de Mayo, and Juneteenth in Hallettsville. Adams will perform songs by Mahia Jackson (1920-1971), an influential vocalist of the 20th Century. Darryl Leonard, Hallettsville, is a gospel pianist and vocalist and will accompany the Juneteenth presentation. Adams and Leonard are both well-known throughout Cuero, Victoria, Edna, Schulenburg, and surrounding areas for their vibrant Christian music performances.
