In a contest sponsored by Hallet Oak Gallery, local students created artworks themed “Season Changes.” The art entries included detailed drawings, fun activities, beautiful colors and overall attention to detail.
Any media could be used. Local artist Linda Cejka* judged entries based on use of color, balance, and harmony. Dixon-Allen Foundation, Dr. Betty J. Edwards, H-E-B, Splashway Waterpark & Campground, Hair on the Square, Hallet Oak Foundation contributed to the prizes.

Linda Cejka wants to ensure that youth are recognized for their artistic achievements. Through the youth art contests, students are encouraged to develop their drawing skills while focusing on a specific topic. She appreciates each individual interpretation and considers how each piece of art fits into the contest criteria. Linda herself paints nature scenes in acrylic, watercolor, and oil with a focus on flowers. She is Co-Founder, Vice President and Outreach Director for Hallet Oak Foundation and has a BA from the University of Texas is Literature and a Masters of Business Administration from Our Lady of the Lake University.
