About Hallet Oak Gallery and How We Operate

Hallet Oak Gallery is located in the historic 1890 Kahn & Stanzel Building which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Gallery is one of the two parts of the Hallet Oak Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization. The second part of the organization is Friends of Hallettsville Downtown Revitalization which concentrates on civic improvements and beautification through cultural arts.

How We Operate: The Executive Director is a volunteer and coordinates the staff of all volunteers. The Board and Advisory Board volunteers their time to oversee operations, which includes guidelines, budgets and programing.  For special projects we have committees that oversee specific programs, such as the Hallettsville Beautification Committee. We are a relatively new organization that has been in operation since July 2015. We incorporated in February 2016 and we received our non-profit 501 (c) 3 IRS letter of acceptance in September 2016. We are seeking grant opportunities that takes time to achieve, so we rely on our patrons to help us keep our doors open. Since 2015 to present day, Dr. Betty J. Edwards has helped us tremendously financially and it takes many generous patrons like her to keep us in operation.  For a closer look, visit our “About our Foundation” site: www.halletoakfoundation.com and also see our “Hallet Oak Foundation” name listing on www.GuideStar.org. We appreciate your consideration to be a part of it! Donate today! Together we are inspiring and exercising minds. By achieving ongoing donations, we can keep the Gallery open six days a week.
